Types of hot water sytems
The Government are currently offering rebates for full solar hot water and heat pump installations in the Perth area.
Solar Hot Water
Solar hot water systems are storage cylinders connected to either collector panels or evacuated tubes on a north facing roofspace to collect heat from the sun providing you with hot water.

Systems can be either fully roof mounted or installed as a split system where the tank is situated on the ground and collection plates/evacuated tubes on the roof.
Systems can be gas or electric boosted to suit your individual needs.
Heat Pumps
Heat pumps use the ambient air surrounding the system converting the heat in the air into hot water.
Converting to a heat pump can be 3 to 4 times more efficient than your current hot water system.
There are two types of heat pumps currently available. All-in-one heat pumps, where the storage cylinder and compressor unit are combined into one unit and split systems, where the cylinder and compressor sit separately.
Gas
Having long been the go to source of heating your water gas storage or instant units can offer a more affordable option to get you hot water again.
With like-for-like replacements offering the cheapest replacement costs.
Instantaneous units usually offer peace of mind and comparibly low servicing costs.
