Anodes

Sacroficial anodes are made of a more reactive metal that the cylinder. Designed to react with the water desolving the anode instead of corroding the cylinder prolonging the life of your system.

Reccomended to be change at least every 5 years but this can vary depending on location and hot water usage.

P & T relief valve

Pressure and Temperature relief valves are found on all solar, heat pump and gas storage hot water systems and are rated to each specific system.

Designed to release incase of overtemprature or pressure.

​

These valves are reccomended to be manually activated every 6 months and inspected for performance every 5 years.

Solar Hot water cold valves

Cold water valves

Storage hot water systems are required to have a cold expansion relief valve, when a storage hot water system heats up the system pressure builds due to the expansion of the water. The valve is designed to release at a set pressure to prevent damage to the system.

Heat pumps and Solar hot water systems usually require a pressure limiting device.

Solar hot water

Most solar hot water systems will require an anode and P and T at least every 5 years.

During this service we also inspect -

  • The operation of the cold valves.

  • Flush the system.

  • Test electrical components.

 

Split systems -

  • Check operation of the cirulating pump.

  • Check valves associated with pump.

Heat Pumps

Heat pumps require an anode and P and T service at least every 5 years.

During this service we also inspect -

  • The operation of the cold valves.

  • Flush the system.

  • Test electrical components.

 

Split Systems​ -

We reccomend that split systems are flushed every 2.5 years to clear sediment build up in the heat exchanger and prevent failure and loss of hot water

Gas

Gas storage systems require an anode and P and T at least every 5 years.

During the service we also inspect -

  • The operation of the cold valves.

  • Flush the system.

  • Test the operation gas components.​

Gas supplied hot water systems need to be serviced yearly to check safe operation and to maintain efficiency.

Electric

Electric storage systems require an anode service and P and T at least every 5 years.

During this service we also inspect -

  • The operation of the cold valves.

  • Flush the system.

  • Test electrical components.

Gas Servicing

Most gas appliances are recomended to be serviced yearly to checked for safety and effiency.
